Hagen, June 13, 2026 – The radio landscape is on the brink of a revolution: Today marks the launch of AI.OnAir, a 24/7 web radio station fully dedicated to the future of music. Based in Hagen (North Rhine-Westphalia), the station specializes exclusively in a program of AI-generated tracks and 'hybrid productions'—musical pieces where human creativity and artificial intelligence seamlessly merge.
More than just an algorithm: A platform for new artists
In an era where tens of thousands of new songs are created daily with the help of generative AI, there is a lack of curators to separate quality from quantity. AI.OnAir sees itself not as a purely technological playback station, but as an interactive platform for a new generation of musicians, independent artists, and AI prompters who have previously found no voice on traditional mainstream radio.
“For us, AI is not a replacement for humans, but the most powerful creative tool of our time”, explain Dennis Vorberg and Simon Vogler, the minds behind the project. Dennis Vorberg, who has been active in the field of AI-assisted music production since 2022, adds: “We want to offer a professional stage to artists experimenting with these new technologies. This is where technology meets genuine musical depth and emotional lyrics.”
Interactive radio with the community at the wheel
The heart of AI.OnAir is its close connection to its listeners. Through the station’s newly created portal, music creators can easily submit their tracks. The community then decides which songs climb the playlists through direct voting and feedback.
A weekly highlight of the station is the “AI Top 100 Germany” – the first official, community-driven charts for AI and hybrid music in the German-speaking region. Listeners can tune in to the program worldwide 24/7 via the web player on the official website. Dedicated mobile apps and listings on major radio platforms are already planned for the coming weeks.
